Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh jointly inaugurated the first Girls’ Military School in Vrindavan, Mathura on Monday. The Samvid Gurukulam Girls Military School, established by Sadhvi Ritambhara in the Vatsalya Gram campus, was dedicated to the daughters of the country, as per the official announcement.
CM Yogi emphasised the importance of challenging conservative mindsets for societal progress during the inauguration. He highlighted Mission Shakti as an exemplary initiative for ensuring the safety, respect, and self-reliance of daughters. The Chief Minister called for collective efforts to break away from conservative ideologies in order to build a strong society, as mentioned in the announcement.
Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister and Defence Minister, CM Yogi highlighted the permission granted for girls’ admission in Sainik Schools. He traced the tradition of Sainik Schools in Uttar Pradesh, dating back to 1960 and mentioned the positive impact of introducing girls to these institutions in 2018.
CM Yogi affirmed that instilling army discipline in young boys and girls through Sainik Schools would contribute to the country’s progress. He encouraged a collective effort to enhance India’s global prestige and emphasised the priority of nation first, followed by religion, family, and self.
Administering oaths to the people, CM Yogi called for breaking free from servile mentalities, working towards India’s development, taking pride in heritage, staying united, and fulfilling civic duties. He referred to the transformation of Ayodhya and the recent developments, including improved infrastructure, connectivity, and the inauguration of an International Airport.
Taking a jibe at the opposition, CM Yogi noted the change in their attitude towards Ayodhya and emphasised the empowerment that comes with realising one’s own strength. The occasion marked the celebration of Sadhvi Ritambhara’s Shashti Purti Mahotsav, commemorating 60 years of her dedicated service. The three-day festival saw the participation of prominent figures, including Jagadguru Rambhadracharya, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, CM Yogi Adityanath and Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, as outlined in the statement.
