14:59 (IST) 28 Sep 2023 USD-INR Outlook

“USDINR CMP- 83.1850 (spot) Indian Rupee gained on Thursday as RBI likely sold US Dollars to stabilise the domestic currency. We expect Rupee to trade with a slight negative bias on strong US Dollar and risk aversion in global markets. Rising global crude oil prices may put further downside pressure on Rupee. However, any intervention by the RBI may support Rupee at lower levels. Traders may take cues from final GDP, weekly unemployment claims and pending home sales data from US. USDINR spot price is expected to trade in a range of Rs 82.80 to Rs 83.80,” said Anuj Choudhary – Research Analyst at Sharekhan by BNP Paribas.

09:52 (IST) 28 Sep 2023 Nifty Outlook

“Despite extremely gloomy opening moves, an outright collapse was avoided as expected, with 19550 attracting enough buying interest to raise hopes towards a reversal from the 20,200-19,550 down move that has been in play since 18 September. However, that the upmove stalled at the first level of significance, at 19727-43, refrains us from an all out buy. We will however be encouraged to aim for 19,780-19,880 as long as declines do not stretch beyond 19,678-19,654,” said Anand James, Chief Market Strategist at Geojit Financial Services.

The rising US bond yields on the back of the firm dollar index has resulted in foreign fund outflows in the month so far. Technically, the bears are likely to be everywhere as long as Nifty trades below the 19,867 mark. Nifty’s biggest intraday support is seen at 19,589-19,221 marks,” said Prashanth Tapse, Senior VP (Research), Mehta Equities.
