The ROG Flow X13 and Z13 are poles apart— one’s a laptop, other’s a tablet— but they have one common goal. To try and put as much power as possible in one of the most compact chassis that you can think of. It’s not easy and yet the Flow X13 and Z13 do it so gracefully, they make it look easy. At this point, it seems, Asus is just showing off coming out with some of the wackiest tech one can fathom, not as concept but commercial products, one after another.

The ROG Flow Z13 is more impressive, what with it being a tablet and all, especially when you factor in the specs. This “tablet” shares so much hardware with the Z13, which is a full-blown laptop, it won’t be wrong to call it the “next-level” in mobile engineering. It left us stunned with everything it can do.

Both Flow X13 and Z13 have the same 13.4-inch 16:10 ROG Nebula IPS display with QHD+ resolution and 165Hz refresh rate (3ms response time). The screens can top 500nits and cover 100 percent DCIP3. They’re Pantone validated and support Dolby Vision playback right out of the gate.

The Flow X13 is powered by up to AMD’s Ryzen 9 7940H processor (8-cores/16-threads, 35W default TDP, 5.2GHz boost clock). You get a choice of either a GeForce RTX 4060 or RTX 4050 graphics with MUX Switch. This is paired with up to 16GB of LPDR5 6400MHz RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage which is expandable.
