The Poco X6 series officially arrives in India on January 11, 2024, a listing on Flipkart has confirmed. The launch date reveal is joined by the full back panel design reveal of what appears to be the Poco X6 Pro seemingly confirming that it would be a rebranded Redmi K70E after all in line with all the rumour mills going around. The mention of a “series” suggests multiple phones could be in the pipeline with the classic Poco X6 being one of them.
Xiaomi spin-off brand Poco has been hyping the line-up for a few weeks now especially highlighting its choice of chip. The Poco X6 series, to that effect, is confirmed to get the first dibs at MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor in India. Unless things change at the very last minute, we’re talking specifically about the Poco X6 Pro (the Poco X6 is tipped to be a rebranded Redmi Note 13 5G in which case it could land with a different, noticeably less powerful chip) here.

January seems packed to the gills with phone launches, even more so from Xiaomi. Its value-focused Redmi arm is gearing to launch the Redmi Note 13 series in India on January 4. Just a few hours ago, the company announced HyperOS for India, revealing the roaster of devices— Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 6– that would get it starting this month itself. And now Poco’s big X6 series launch reveal is also official. Needless to say, it’s —going to be— raining smartphones and smartphone-related announcements this month and rest assured, FE Tech Bytes will bring you all the news and updates as they happen.
One last thing before we sign off. January 11 is also seemingly the launch date for Oppo’s Reno 11 series in India. While not explicitly confirmed by the brand, since the line-up is making its global debut on the same date, Oppo’s India specific plans will be known soon enough.
